Muscle fitness is essential in creating a calorie burning machine

In order to get the most out of our weight loss goals, we need to have a weights plan implemented. We need to have toned muscle that will consume our calories. Following this method, we are feeding our muscle rather than letting our fat deposits grow.

Muscle burns about 6 calories per pound and fat burns about 2 calories per pound. This may not seem as much but there are more benefits to having a toned body.

By lifting weights and toning our muscles we are: strengthening our joints and bones, conserving lean tissue, and increasing our metabolic rate (we burn calories even after the workout).

As we proceed with our weight loss goals we need to understand that not all of our weight lost is fat. We also lose muscle tissue, water, and bone density. By implementing weight lifting we keep our muscles and bones strong and burn more fat.

We also need to implement strength training to have a nice toned body after we achieve our weight loss goals!
