Shrink Your Fat Cells!

As dieters, our main goal is to shrink fat cells. Doing so will not only produce a better physique, but also aid in combating heart disease and high blood pressure.

How Fat Cells Work: We all posess fat cells. The number of fat cells we each possess is in the billions. Our goal is to keep these fat cells from filling up and as a result produce extra fat cells.

Fat cells work in similar manner to empty balloons. You are given billions of fat cells to work with. As the body begins to fill the fat stores, the fat cells then proceed to produce more fat cells in preparation for more fat storage.

The problem here is that fat cells work differently than other cells. Fat cells also seem to last longer than other cells. The problem lies not with how many fat cells the body has, but how many of them are full.

As mentioned above, fat cells begin to make new cells as the current cells begin to fill up. Over-eating leads to more fat cell growth and eventually to obesity.

The best way to keep fat cells in check is through proper diet and exercise. Individuals who focus on shrinking fat cells through diet and exercise begin to see results in their blood pressure, cholesterol and insulin resistance.

This is not the case for liposuction patients. Although fat is removed, there are no significant changes to over all health.

There are instances however where diet and exercise is not enough. Surgery may be recommended for obese individuals.
